Where it does well: people, pets, products, logos, a single clear subject against a background that differs from it in tone. These come out clean.
Where it struggles: thin parts. Aircraft wings, bike spokes, railings, chair legs, bare branches, wire, lattice. Anything slender against a similar-toned background, sky especially, tends to get swallowed. Fine hair, fur, glass and smoke are the same problem at a smaller scale.
A model small enough to download into a browser looks for one solid shape. For photos like that, each result carries a Sharper cutout button: it sends that one photo to this site's server, where a far larger model holds the thin detail. Pressing it is the only thing on this site that uploads anything. The image is processed in memory, returned, and never stored.
Better odds: a plainer background behind the subject changes the result more than anything else. Cropping tight to the subject before dropping it in also helps.
